| The Seatrout and
Salmon in the Em river can run up to Högsby - about 50 kilometres from the Baltic Sea.
There are three fish ladders – Emsfors, Karlshammar and Finsjö to pass by. At
Karlshammar and Finsjö (approx. 7 and 30 km from the Baltic) the fish is counted. Below
you will find a small guide regarding the possibilities to find a suitable beat to fish
along the river. The guide starts at the top of the river. Just to give a hint the river
produces approx. 500 – 1.000 Seatrout/year. The season starts 1st of March
and ends 30th of September.
