| Strömfiske Alsterån Located approx.
50 km East of Växjö. Total length of fishing stretch 20
km. Upper Fishing border at Skahus Dam and lower border at village Alsterfors.
Mainly fishing for brown trout but the calmer areas also offer nice perch and pike
fishing.
The whole surrounding area is very scenic
and beautiful. The flora and fauna are both rich and unique. And it's near to many of the
famous Glassworks.
The whole stretch is divided into 6
zones, different regulation for each zone. Some for fly fishing only and some for both fly
fishing and spin-fishing. Also Catch and release in some. The whole area offers a wide
range of different fishing, both advanced fly fishing in streams and enjoyable family
fishing in our dam.
Fishing season starts in April and ends
in September/October.
Several fire places, windshields and
toilets are accessible along the whole stretch.
Permit prices (2011): Varies between the
zones in the range from 150 SEK - 250 SEK/day.
Children younger than 12 years fish for free in company with paying adult.
