Lake in western Ångermanland, located just north of Junsele village at 196 metres above sea level.  Managed by Betarsjöns FVO. Trolling fishing is very popular in the lake. Fish population; perch, pike, brown trout, salmon and whitefish. Northern part of the lake is divided into two large bays, called Vallsjön and Rusksjön.

Betarsjöns FVO include also Betarsjön lake, Backsjön lake, Nils-Hans tarn, Lill-kärmsjön lake, parts of Ruskån (creek) and  Rinnån (creek), and  Kärmsjöbäcken (creek). Lake Backsjön have a fine population of both brown trout and char.

Boat launching ramps and rent boats are available in the lake

All year permit (family card)  350 SEK
Week permit (family card): 150 SEK
3-day permit: 100 SEK
24 hour permit: 50 SEK
