Largest lake in south Sweden, approx. 184 km². Located 142 meters above sea level. Biggest depth 37 meters. The lake offer great fishing; flyfishing, spinnfishing, angling and trolling fishing. Fishing is mainly for perch, pike and pikeperch, but the lake also offers fishing for eel, trout, tench, burbot, roach, bream and some other species. Pikes weighing up to 17 kg and perch up to 1,6 kg have been caught here. At wintertime the lake offers great icefishing.

Price fishing permits (2005): 60 SEK/day, 200 SEK/week and 400 SEK/year
Youth younger than 16 years of age are fishing for free.
Minimum size for trout is 500 mm, for eel 550 mm.
