Ljungan, river in Härjedalen, Jämtland and Medelpad, Sweden

A 271 km long river. Originates from the mountain region north of Ljungdalen just past the border to the province of Jämtland. Flows towards the Southeast through Ljungdalen in Härjedalen, Åsarne in Jämtland, Ånge in Medelpad and flows out into the Bottenhavet sea just south of Sundsvall at Kvissleby.

The stretch Ljungdalen - Sölvbackaströmmarna

The Sölvbackaströmmarna is one of the waters in the Storsjön FVOF. A 6-7 km long stretch that falls 60 meters. The first 1.6 km is a long continuous rapid stream. The following beat is calm but here and there it is interrupted by shorter rapids.
